FLYING FASCINATION 9/97

Flying is simply fascinating.This fascination lives through pictures made from those magnificent machines that enable people to fly. Shots out of the cockpit will be a remembrance of great flights. (mouseclick to one of the minis and take a look at the big JPEG-versions).

The Classic Plane Festival in Hahnweide, north face of the Swabian Mountains, near Kircheim/Teck (Germany) in September, managed to attract more than 35000 visitors. One guest from Sweden was Mikael Carl with his 83 year old Bleriot XI.

Winner of last years aerokurier-gliding competion Jens Lange was able to enjoy this sight of the Beaverfoot-Range on the south of the Columbia River in Canada. For five days the Rocky Mountains provided him with beautiful gliding weather.
 
The high wing motorplane P92 built by Tecnam, Neapel, Italy is a winner among the ultralights. With the low-wing P96 Golf (build by the same company) new competition has emerged. The Italian ultralights certification has already been granted.
