FLYING FASCINATION 6/97

Flying is simply fascinating.This fascination lives with pictures from those magnificent machines, that enable people to fly. Shots out of the cockpit will be a rememberance of great flights. (mouseclick to one of the minis and take a look to the big JPEG-versions).

The Comet promises to become the new star among ultralights. Manufacturer B & F is working hard to get the certification for this new biplane till autumn. The dream of a biplane will cost about 90000 DM.
 
Only a few weeks after the first presentation of the proof-of-concept of the new four-seater DA40, manufacturer Diamond Aircraft Industries aims for the first flight with the new design. The engine of the prototype shall be a Turbo Rotax 914.
 
The new racing class ship ASW 27 of Alexander Schleicher Segelflugzeugbau above the French Alps. Martin Theisinger, member of the German national team, will fly the "WT" in the 25th World Championships in St. Auban, France. The big event will start on June 29th and last till July 13.
 
The Albatros from Hansjörg Streifeneder ist still only flying as a model. But the real ship is steadily growing. At the AERO in Friedrichshafen Streifender presented the fuselage with rescue system, the retractable gear and adjustable horizontal plane (both electrical) in a ready-to-fly state. The middle wing is already mounted.
